MuscleFit Editor-in-Chief, KAI — Lifter in his 50s
Why I started MuscleFit
About eight years ago, I started strength training because I wanted to build my ideal physique.
At first, I trained on my own, learning from YouTube and books. My weight dropped and I looked leaner, but my muscles weren’t growing the way I wanted, and I kept asking myself why I wasn’t gaining size.
After countless rounds of trial and error — chasing heavier weights, changing my routine — I arrived at an answer: muscle growth depends on correct form and taking care of your body, not just lifting more.
From then on, instead of chasing heavy weight, I focused on form that puts stress precisely on the target muscle, and I put real effort into conditioning — stretching and improving my range of motion.
As a result, my body changed more than I ever had before, and I finally started to feel real, natural muscle growth.
But as my body changed, a new problem appeared. As my shoulders, chest, arms, and back developed, the clothes I used to wear became tight — and sizing up just made the waist too loose. It’s a problem almost every lifter runs into.
“I wish there were a site that helped people who train find clothes that actually fit them.”
I looked for one, but I could barely find a site that compared brand sizing and silhouette in detail, or explained which cuts suit which body types.
So I decided to build the resource I wished existed. That’s how MuscleFit was born.
MuscleFit’s philosophy
MuscleFit is a fashion media outlet built for people who train seriously.
Rather than simply introducing brands, we focus on questions like “what clothing suits someone with muscle” and “what silhouette makes a trained body look its best” — and we share that information as clearly as we can.
